Two-Year-Old Local Marketing Firm Wins Award In Iowa Marketing Competition
MagnaStar Marketing Group wins for Drake Recruiting Campaign
Johnston, Iowa -- A two-year-old Johnson based marketing communications firm, MagnaStar Marketing Group, has won first place in the category of "Best Consumer Campaign Under $50,000" in the American Marketing Association (AMA) Iowa Chapter's annual NOVA Awards competition. The campaign was for a series of Drake University College of Business and Public Administration recruiting materials, which the company developed in 2006.
"We are absolutely thrilled to receive this recognition, especially since we've only been in business a couple years, and were competing against other more established marketing firms," says MagnaStar Marketing Group co-owner Scott Fiene. "This is a big honor for us."
"What we're most proud of, however, is that the campaign performed so well for Drake," says Nicki Savage, MagnaStar's other co-owner. "In the end, what matters is not an award, but what you do for the client."
The NOVA Awards program is designed to recognize excellence in marketing and celebrates the work of all marketers in Iowa. Awards were given in 9 categories. The awards ceremony was held May 3 at The Meadows Events and Conference Center at Prairie Meadows in Altoona.
